Ernst Ma, President of UCLA Interfraternity Council (IFC), shared his passion as the new Head of North America, “It is an amazing time to be joining Society and leading the North America journey. It is time to lead a movement, the Road to 2.0, one app, one college at a time.”
My co-founder and I are ecstatic to welcome our new North America Team, headhunted following the success of the 2022 Philanthropy Die Tournament that raised over $30,000 for charity
The UCLA team has worked extensively together and there is no better group of people to come up with out-of-the-box initiatives and execute them flawlessly. Ernst believes that their greatest strength is their varied backgrounds. On this team there is an accomplished journalist, a film producer, an economic researcher, a published legal philosopher, and several with extensive business experience.
It was through a philanthropy event that the Society Co-Founders met Ernst. Matthew Billington, Co-Founder of Society reflected on what impressed him, “My co-founder and I are ecstatic to welcome our new North America Team, headhunted following the success of the 2022 Philanthropy Die Tournament that raised over $30,000 for charity. Their track record of success at UCLA speaks volumes and having personally worked with them closely we have been amazed by their sharp strategic thinking and creativity to manoeuvre challenges.”
Each community app can be built in 60 seconds making Society the fastest, free community app builder in the market globally
The North America Team all live with each other, creating a fun startup atmosphere. Many of them are leaders of the fraternity system at the school, and in six months have totally changed the culture of Greek life at UCLA.
Krishan Joshi, Co-Founder of Society commented, “Each community app can be built in 60 seconds making Society the fastest, free community app builder in the market globally. Together with Ernst’s leadership and his UCLA team, we believe Society will prove that this group of college students have the tenacity and strategic prowess to tackle any entrepreneurial challenge.”
Developing the US as a major market is now the priority. The US educational market is materially larger than the UK market. In comparison to the UK, the US has 10 times more secondary schools and 24 times more universities/colleges.
It is a phenomenal time to be a part of this journey. The North America Team is ready to revolutionize how college organizations host events. With features such as in-app ticketing (with the lowest transaction fees on the market), unlimited encrypted chat facilities, and group chats with up to 1,000 participants, every college is invited to join the Society journey and Road to 2.0.
